When Your Thoughts Overtake You

I'm on a flight to Tokyo as we speak, and I am typing this on the plane to be posted once I connect to the Internet again. How was everyone's holiday? Mine was decidedly un-holiday-like. Most disappointing. I'm a bit disappointed altogether by this year's holiday season. Mostly, because it has completely passed me by. Perhaps it never was as big of a deal as I have it planned out in my head to be. I had imagined that once the season came close, that there would be so many strings of lights and tinsel that I wouldn't even be able to ignore it. It hasn't been like that at all. Not a single fake Santa Clause, and precious few lights at all this year. My biggest dose of any holiday at all was on December 25, when I went to a party. I was wearing black.

I haven't even really raked in the Christmas cash yet either. The one thing I look forward for this part of the year is definitely the income that I manage to rake in over 2 weeks or so. It hasn't really happened. It's too bad. I was looking forward to doing my part in setting the economy straight too.

XOXO

2 Days until Christmas, 1 Exam to Go

How much innovation in born of procrastination? Whatever the number is, it's safe to say that at the end of this post, it's going to be +1.

In an effort to put off studying for just a little bit longer...what am I doing? Foraying into a form of social media I promised myself I would never venture into? Yes, and let's keep this a secret between just you and I. I don't think I would want anyone I know to read this, I am sure.

In less than 24 hours, I will be boarding a plane for a 14 hour ride to X, Asia. Can't tell you where, might give it away, no? From there, will hit up Tokyo and Macau with a variety of asians (let's call them Silicone-Free and Plastic, to differentiate). Silicone-free will be meeting me in Macau, to gamble and generally kick it in the Asian Caribbean. Looking forward to another poor attempt on the part of the grandparents to have me meet (read: marry) Rich Asian Man. Hopefully the poor slob will be taller this time. Hoping to pick up a new Bottega Veneta and SK-II line (because its never too early to think you look old).

Anyone ever try the Lancome Genefique? This product has been my absolute saviour these last 3 weeks, and has somehow managed to make me look human after not sleeping and enough stress to make Atlas get down on both knees. Also loving the Korres Lip Butter in Jasmine topped with Sephora's lip gloss in Gold (for the holidays, obviously).

Recently read Salman Rushdie's The Moor's Last Sigh. Not sure if my lack of impression comes from years of exposure or innate cynical tendencies.

Also wondering if the United States Postal Service refuses to deliver my package (from Forever 21) on time to spite me, or just general laziness...

Someone please tell me what you want most for Christmas. Lucky me always gets cash from everyone and I am looking forward for a massive shopping spree come the new year!

Coveting http://www.modcloth.com/store/ModCloth/Womens/Big+Wheels+Necklace. Seriously how fab is that? And at a price that won't make you cry...total steal!

XOXO
